Meet your seamstress, Peggy Rowell
I’ve had a love for sewing for as long as I can remember. My journey started back in the early 1980s, stitching up country ruffled curtains—oh, and let me tell you, the more ruffles, the better! Those were the days when every piece took skill, patience, and a few good tricks up my sleeve. Looking back, I cherish every lesson learned during that time and how it shaped my passion for craftsmanship.
As life moved into a new season, my sons were in school, and I knew I wanted to be there for them while still doing what I loved. Working for myself gave me that beautiful balance. By the mid-'90s, I found myself working with an interior designer, and that’s when I truly fell in love with making slipcovers. There was something so rewarding about transforming a piece of furniture and seeing how it could completely refresh a space.
But what truly brings me joy is the connection with my clients. I love getting to know them, understanding their vision, and watching their excitement as their home comes to life through the little details we create together. Seeing a happy client at the end of the day makes every stitch, every moment at the sewing machine, and every late-night fabric session worth it.
For me, sewing isn’t just a skill—it’s an art, a craft, and a way to bring warmth into a home. Whether it’s a musician at the piano, a painter with a brush, or a carpenter with their tools, there’s a special kind of magic in working with your hands and watching something come together, piece by piece. And I wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything in the world.
